Kilpaddoge 220kV Cable Installation Project
Lisagallon Group have recently commenced cable installation works on the Kilpaddoge – Knockanure Project. The project will involve the installation of over 63km of 220kV Cable linking Kilpaddoge and Knockanure electricity substations. This project is required to connect renewable electricity generated in the south west of the country. It will transport approximately 300 megawatts of energy generated by local wind farms.
Gas Compression Cable Replacement Dublin
Lisagallon have undertaken the replacement of numerous sections of Gas Compression cables in the Dublin City Region. This involved the removal of the existing cables and installation of new City Cable into the existing duct. One of the risks associated with these projects was the prevention of oil spillages to the surround environment, which we done successfully. One of the significant projects undertaken was Sean McDermott St Station to Finglas Station, 8.5km.
Fingles - Dardstown 220kV Cable Installation Project
Lisagallon have completed Finglas to Dardistown 220kV cable installation project on behalf of the ESB. This involved the installation of 18,000m of 220kV Silec Cable. This was a complicated project due to restrictions put in place by the DAA which resulted in cable delivery to site having to take place between the hours of 1am and 4am. Lisagallon completed this project safely and ahead of programme.
Galway Wind Parks 110kV Cable Installation Project
Lisagallon on behalf of SSE installed all cables on the Galway Wind Park Grid Connection. This entailed installation of 93,000m of 110kV 1600aq Cable between The Knockranny 110kV substation and the existing Salthill-Screebe 110kV overhead line and the Galway 110kV substation at Ballybrit.
Glenconway Renewable Wind Project
Lisagallon on behalf of SSE Renewables was responsible for supply, installation, termination and commissioning of a double 33kV circuit underground cable from Glenconway 33kV Substation to the grid connection location at Slieve Kirk wind farm. The project in total contained the ducting and installation of 120,000m for 630mm sq. AL cable together with all the associated works.
